Bensman-Rowe, Cheryl

Cheryl Bensman-Rowe, soprano, has sung in premieres of works by Steve Reich, Ingram Marshall, Michael Torke, and William Bolcom, and she has performed with the New York Philharmonic and the Israel Philharmonic, among many others. A former member of the Waverly Consort and the Western Wind Vocal Ensemble, she has also performed with the Folger Consort, the Smithsonian Chamber Ensemble, and Pomerium Musices. A Grammy-award winner in 1999, she is co-director, with Paul Rowe, of the Madison Early Music Festival.
