Ezrat (ezrat avoteinu ata hu me’olam)—a setting of a passage from the morning liturgy (t’fillat shaḥarit)— juxtaposes two moods and elements: a majestic musical statement in exultation of Divine attributes and deeds, and an original animated melody of eastern European flavor to recall the biblical reference to the jubilant song of praise sung by Moses and the Israelites upon their escape from Egyptian bondage.
