Composer Jack Gottlieb recounts how his early experiences at the Brandeis Camp in Santa Susana, California shaped him as a composer. Among his teachers were many of the 20th century's most important composers of Jewish music, including Max Helfman, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Julius Chajes, and Eric Zeisl.
