Short documentary feature on the Milken Archive's recording of Thomas Beveridge's Yizkor Requiem—an interfaith dialogue on the common roots of two important end-of-life rituals—with Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Extended interview footage with Marriner and the composer, as well as excerpts from impromptu interviews with the soloists (Robert Brubaker, Ana María Martínez, and Elizabeth Shammash), combine to reveal how one man's tribute to his late father speaks to how both religious traditions musically deal with loss, memory, and grief in the departing of the soul.
